Amy Casares

Amy Casares is the Owner and Artistic Director of Rising Stars Performing Arts Center. She began her ballet and tap training at the age of three and added jazz and contemporary/modern at eleven. Amy went on to study Dance Performance and Pedagogy in college and has been teaching since she was sixteen. She has trained under respected professionals including Karen Smith, Margo Dean, Jo Bond, Fernando and Karen Schaffenburg (Fort Worth Ballet/Texas Ballet Theater), Hugh Nini (Denton Ballet Academy), and Cristina Munro (The Royal Ballet/Corpus Christi Ballet). After college, Amy continued her education in ballroom, training for several years at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Fort Worth. She also began her karate journey as an adult and currently holds a 1st Degree Black Belt. Amy is passionate about strong classical technique, musicality, and creating a positive, disciplined environment where students can grow as both dancers and people.
